Although many believe that Microsoft would launch later in 2014 the Lumia 1020 successor, there is little chance that this will happening in the near future. According to information gathered by Tom Warren of The Verge editor, the company canceled the development of the smartphone that is supposed to adopt the numbering 1030.
Warren says that the product in question should be called Nokia McLaren (without any reference to the Lumia brand), with a 20 megapixel camera, quite distant value of 50 megapixels bandied about in rumors. Apparently the gadget in question always treated merely a prototype and the company never wondered start production on a large scale.
