Lionsgate guilt torrent sites by poor box office "The Expendables 3"
third chapter of the series "The Expendables" did not garner the expected box office during its debut. At a mere $ 16 million raised in its first week, the production that brings together names like Arnold Schwarzenner, Harrison Ford and Antonio Banderas has been considered a victim of piracy activities through torrent sites.
Fact is that Lionsgate studio, responsible for publishing "The Expendables 3" is suing addresses that provide access to Internet links directing to the full content of the newly released movie. To date, six sites were processed by the film company: Limetorrents, Billionuploads, Hulkfile, Played, Swankshare and Dotsemper.
According to Lionsgate, the movie box office flop written and directed by Sylvester Stallone is due precisely to the existence of services that enable downloading content illegally; thousands of people have failed to come to US theaters, it had had access to the film in their own homes - it turns out that the production was made available for download a month before its official debut in the US (learn more here).
Several websites, including some addresses already processed by Lionsgate, are removing links that provide access to "The Expendables 3" of their banks; any mention of the franchise is also being deleted by aggregators torrents. "As you know, the court entered an injunction and the process will continue unless we enter into an agreement," said the lawyer of the production that moves the action in a statement to the site Torrent Freak.
