Songr 2 Beta

Songr is a utility tailor-made for those who like to listen to your favorite songs and discover new artists that fit into your favorite musical rhythm.

The program acts as an MP3 file search engine and is capable of streaming even on slower connections, allowing you to listen to tunes before you download it (or buy them, if you prefer) directly to your hard drive.

In addition, the Songr also displays lyrics of songs played within its own interface and provides search shortcuts for different types of content related to the band you're listening. With only two mouse clicks, you can get the live shows, discographies or clips of songs on YouTube - content that will be displayed in your default browser.

Sound in the box!

The Songr home screen displays a series of squares related to different musical genres such as Blues, Rock, Indie, Jazz, Country and many others. Clicking on any of these options, the application will play a random tune of an artist or random band, showing also a short biography and suggesting some related pages. If you are looking for a group or song in particular, you can use the search field or performing a search through the passage of a lyric.

On the screen that displays information about an artist, you can use some very useful shortcuts in the menu at the bottom region of the interface. The "Download" button starts the download of the file being played while the "Buy" redirects you directly to any online store where you can purchase the original MP3. By clicking "Show All", the Songr display all the files found for that artist, being the perfect feature for those who want to download entire albums of your favorite band.

Found something wrong?

A very interesting feature of Songr is its collaborative nature. Note that the software has a menu named as "Report", which houses several functions that you can use if you find a song that you dislike. The reasons are: low quality of the song, music with incorrect tags (title or artist name), unofficial remixes or covers made by fans.
